Engineering deans from around the world come together to discuss climate change

The inaugural Carbon Free Innovation Network (CaFIN) event, hosted by the university’s Faculty of Engineering, brought together academics, industry experts and government officials on July 6 to explore challenges to reducing carbon emissions; pathways to creating a carbon-neutral economy; and how to better incorporate green technology approaches into engineering education.

CaFIN Inaugural Meeting to be Held at McMaster University this July

A conversation between deans during GEDC 2015 Adelaide has evolved into the establishment of a collaborative research for carbon free innovation network. Deans and hand-picked experts in carbon free research will be meeting at McMaster University in July for the first CaFIN Conference, which hopes to set the foundation for this new collaborative research network. This initiative will begin piloting in seven institutions around the world: McMaster University, University of Notre Dame, University of Illinois-Chicago, Seoul National University, Hong Kong University, National University of Singapore and University of Adelaide.
