On Monday April 9th, 2018 the McMaster Integrated Community Energy and Harvesting Systems (ICE Harvest) team welcomed our 17 industry partners to kick off the ICE Harvest Project. The first of these biannual summits included tours of the new Hatch Centre Research Facility, informative workshops and a networking luncheon attended by both the researchers and representatives from our industry partners on the Project.
The meeting largely focused on introducing the ICE Harvest System and determining how best the group can collaborate to attain the research goals, optimize the systems capabilities and implement the design at future community sites. An important aspect of the ICE Harvest Project is the integration of real data and thus the industry partners were asked to determine which of the four key milestones they would like to be involved with. Overall, the meeting was a large success and the team looks forward to working together through our novel Energy Research Cooperative over coming years.
Our next summit is planned for the end September 2018!
